Located in a small neighborhood of beachfront homes, we designed a new house incorporating simple stylistic elements commonly found in North Fork architecture: cedar shingles, a gabled roof, and an entry porch.

KDC worked within this visual language to create a sustainable home tailored to the needs of this young family. Like many beach properties, the lot is deep and narrow. The carefully designed floor plan maximizes the waterfront views and natural light while providing privacy from neighboring homes.

Beachwood House is the winner of a 2020 AIA Long Island Archi Award.
