K+dC is seeking a self-motivated and collaborative Architect with at least 5 years of experience in programming, planning, design, and technical development of single-family residential projects.
As a significant member of our team, this role plays a pivotal part in the firm’s success. Candidates should be proficient in BIM workflow with experience using Vectorworks preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, balance competing priorities, and work independently with clients. This position also involves directing consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects.
Senior Architect
Primary Responsibilities
Handle technical detailing and drawing production of high end custom residential projects
Understand New York State residential building code
Coordinate with consultants and contractors
Understand design intent and goals for successful implementation
Understand the construction administration phase
Additional Responsibilities
Assist Principals with fee estimating, scope of work and project scheduling
Provide technical guidance to junior level staff and possess full knowledge of best practice standards and expectations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
minimum 5 years of experience
Strong technical skills
Experience with BIM workflow and Vectorworks preferred
Passive House or LEED Accredited Professional a plus
